Better Late Than Never
First there was Milwaukee, who two years ago pioneered the way for heated apparel powered by cordless batteries. Then came Dewalt with this month’s launch of 12V/20V powered heated jackets and hoodies. Finally, and still only fashionably late to the party, is Bosch with the third entrant, and last this season, into the arena of battery powered fashion wear.
Bosh’s family of 12V Max Heated Jackets all come with the jacket, a BHB120 Battery, and a Holster/Controller. In addition, each jacket has three quick warming heat zones, with two heat zones in the chest and one in the back. Each of the sensors will begin warming in a mere matter of minutes and is controlled by a three level heat controller that can be adjusted from low which is indicated with a blue light, medium which is indicated with a green light, all the way up to high which is indicated with a red light. Bosch offers these jackets in varying sizes including small, medium, large, XL, XXL, and XXL.
Bosch boasts that each jacket can get up to 6 hours of continuous heat on a single charge when the jacket is maintained at the low setting. Furthermore like it’s competitors Bosch has also included a USB charging option for most personal electronics including cell phones. Finally the Bosch PSJ120 series of 12V MAX heated Jackets features five convenient internal and external pockets, and a high quality water and wind resistant design that includes adjustable sleeves and waist for maximum comfort while working. One thing that is especially important to note, that unlike some of the competitors jackets that have been released this fall, Bosch’s PSJ120′s are not machine washable, but can in fact be washed by hand.
