August 10, 2012

The DeWalt DW788 20″ Heavy-Duty Variable-Speed Scroll Saw is a design accomplishment for DeWalt as it displays the double parallel-link arm feature. This dramatically reduces vibration and noise, to deliver the operating professional an extremely accurate cut on every single job, every single time!

The exclusive, and ideal, tool-free blade clamps will benefit the operator with quick efficient blade changes in mere seconds, saving you the time while working. In addition, several feature inclusions to the DeWalt DW788 20″ Heavy-Duty Scroll Saw are the on-off switch, the electronic variable speed, the flexible dust blower and the blade-tensioning lever. All of which are conveniently located on the front upper arm of the saw for added operating ease.

A clever arm design pivots from the back of the saw towards the front, thus shortening the arm movement for a smoother, quieter operation, with less vibration in the scroll saw during use. In addition the arms are designed to offer the operator a better experience while working. For example the arm lifts so that the blade can be easily threaded through the material for inside cuts, and a unique arm adds to the design by keeping the blade perpendicular to the operator’s work, dramatically reducing over or under cutting. The 1.3 Amps, and optional 400-1,750 strokes per minute, work with the 3/4″ stroke length to deliver 2″ depth cuts in correlation with the oversized cast-iron table. This provides the scroll saw operator a professional way to execute their applications with excellent material support, as well as the benefit of 45° left and right beveling.
