DeWalt 5/16″ Heavy-Duty Variable Speed Cement Shear D28605

July 10, 2012

Finishing your home in fiber-cement board is a great option for a strong and robust exterior finish. When cutting fiber cement siding, circular saws are NOT your best bet, in fact the dust from  fiber cement siding has a silica component that will irritate respiratory systems. When using a circular saw a tremendous amount of dust gets airborne, which is precisely why cement shears were invented.

Cement shears make a clean cut across the fiber-cement board and therefore keep the kick up of dust to an absolute minimum. The DeWalt 5/16″ Heavy-Duty Variable Speed Cement Shear D28605 comes in the classic DeWalt yellow and black color scheme, provides 6.5 full amps of heavy duty power and harbors an all ball-bearing motor for increased power and strong lasting endurance.  The head of the D28605 has the optional design of a swiveling head that will turn a total of 360 degrees. This enables your cuts to be as clean and correct as possible. In addition the D28605 has a variable speed that allows the user to be even more in control as they use this tool. Just another added plus to aid in producing successful and accurate cuts on your projects! A reversible dual cutting edge side blade is engineered to produce a longer cutting life, all the while increasing your overall working productivity.

Also included with the D28605 is a replaceable center with side blades, this addition is another way DeWalt has used their technology to ensure their  Cement Shears last longer and perform at the higher standard that professionals who use DeWalt tools have come to expect.
