Dewalt’s New Line of Heated Jackets And Hoodies
Not content to let Milwaukee have their cake and eat it too, Dewalt introduces their new line of heated jackets and hoodies this fall to be the next competitor in the arena of tech savvy heated apparel. Dewalt’s jackets come into variations, either as a “bare” jacket with no battery and charger or as a complete kit, such as the Dewalt DCHJ060C1-L 20V/12V MAX Black Heated Jacket Kit, that includes the jacket, the DCB091 USB power source, the DCB201 20V Max Li-Ion Battery, and a fast charger.
You can purchase a standard jacket or one with a hoodie, and they come in multiple color variations including Black, Camo, Camo Blaze. In addition they come in the following sizes; Small, medium, large, extra large, 2XL and 3XL.
Each of Dewalt’s jackets and hoodies feature the ability to use 20V MAX and 12V MAX batteries that can provide hours of core body warmth and continuous heat. In addition, these heated products contain 4 core heating zones that heat the upper left and right chest, mid back, and collar. A heated collar is one of the differences between Dewalt’s heated jacket and Milwaukee’s. The Dewalt heated jackets also feature an LED controller that offers 3 temperature settings that can be set to pre-heat, high medium and low, as well as a USB Poer source that accepts all Dewalt 20V Max and 12V MAX batteries. Additionally, it also includes a fuel gauge and two USB ports that allow you to charge all of your portable electronics including your cell phones. If you need more power, the battery pocket expands to accept 20V MAX XR Li-Ion batteries which provide hours of runtime. The specifications between the the jackets and the hoodies vary slightly, in that the jackets are made from
a soft shell polyester and the hoodies are manufactured from a cotton and twill blend. Also where the hoodies have pockets on the Left and Right waistline, and cell phone, the Jackets include those pockets, + additional pockets on the left and right upper chest. Finally, where the jackets include 4 heating zones with the fourth being in the collar, the hoodies only include three heating zones for the left and right chest, and mid back.
