Completely Reengineered

Greenlee ELECTRIC BENDER, DX W/COMBI SHOE 555DXRE

The Greenlee 555DXRE ELECTRIC BENDER, DX W/COMBI SHOE has been completely overhauled and redesigned with new engineering to make their 555 series bender the most portable, durable and cost effective bender available on the market. The durable outside housing is made from materials to allow the rugged frame to stand up to tough worksite wear and tear, and as such is referred to as the triple nickle. The inside now includes an encoder system, allowing the bender to be more versatile and dependable than ever before. An advantage of the new encoder system is it’s ability to allow the bender to increase repeat-ability and productivity as it reads the shoe, all while it protects the motor and electronics as it controls the speed for each specific bend command. In addition, with the use of it’s absolute encoder, the 555DXRE provides digital angle readouts an a handheld pendant and jogging capability. The new design supports a simpler bending system and has made using the bender as easy as possible for it’s operator.

Two Shoes

Greenlee is proud to show off its innovative two shoe design on the 555DXRE  bender series, and they should be! This bender is more cost effective, than a non-programmable bender, as it only requires  two shoes for most  bending applications. What used to take up to seven shoes to bend, now only needs two for applications such as bending all ½ – 2″ EMT, IMC, Steel Rigid, Aluminum Rigid, and Stainless Steel Rigid. In regards to bending all PVC Coated Steel Rigid conduits one can purchase the optional 12581 shoe, which at this time it is currently being sold separately. If you already own an older 555, this conduit bender is entirely backwards compatible, and can fit all older shoe models.
