Makita 6408 3/8" Variable Speed Corded Drill

The Makita 6408 3/8″ Variable Speed Corded Drill has been built with speed and power in mind, in fact  it has a powerful 4.9 AMP motor that takes full advantage of it’s 120 volts, to drill through any projects with ease. This 3 pound Makita drill easily rips through a variety of materials, including 3/8″ of steel and/or 1″ of wood. The 3/8″ Drill carries a no load speed of 0-2500 RPM’s.

Keyless Chuck and Variable Speed

Makita’s 6408 3/8″ Variable Speed Corded Drill comes with a keyless chuck (763109-6), which is a great additional feature for this drill because of it’s ability to offer a faster and simpler bit installation, as well as quicker bit removal.

Quiet Operation and In Line Design

For those of us who are always looking for more, or the ones that say a powerful motor, keyless chuck, or working versatility is not enough, for them Makita engineered the 6408 with a quieter operation. This variable Speed Drill runs at a low decibel rating, about 79dB’s, which produces a smooth low humming sound that is way easier on the ears than that of other competitor models in it’s class. Finally, the 6408 is designed with a smart in-line handle, which allows the user to enjoy a greater tool experience with superior control.

Large Sized Buttons for Easier Access

The 3/8″ Corded Drill has a thoughtful layout with convenient to use buttons such as it’s large recessed lock-on button, ultimately offering immediate and easy control. Other over-sized  buttons included in the design are the 6408′s reversing switch and large trigger switch, both of which are conveniently located and are made large for easy drill operation. The all ball bearing is constructed with quality materials that offer a longer tool life, as well as on site durability.
