The Porter Cable 9748 Variable-Speed, Dual Action Quik-Change Tiger Saw Kit takes all extra heavy duty cutting applications to task! Supplied with an 11.5 AMP motor, it roars into maximum power, as it tears through your biggest projects. Furthermore, Porter Cable engineered the 9748 with an electronic variable speed feature that allows up to 0-2,600 SPM’s. The variable speed supports the saw in producing consistent cuts, while maintaining speed under load, as it  ultimately delivers the user with a powerful, truly smooth, non-stop cutting experience. The Tiger Saw also has an option that allows orbital cutting into wood if desired, and can even perform reciprocating cuts into metal for increased tool versatility. With a full 1-1/8″ cutting stroke length, the Tiger Saw produces more cuts, into more stock, in less time, as compared to the other competitor’s shorted stroke saws.

Porter Cable built this variable speed saw with a dual action quick change to be a tough contender in residential and industrial applications. Porter Cable’s 9748 Tiger Saw now has the Quick-Change blade clamp, which lends to superior onsite time management, by allowing keyless blade changes in seconds. The 9748 Tiger Saw also features the Quick-Change front shoe, this is a helpful feature as it can be extended by the saw’s user to utilize more of the blade’s teeth while the saw is being used to cut stock. Finally, the Tiger Saw is outfitted with an ergonomic handle and soft grip for the best possible grip, and which offers a comfortable balanced hold on the saw while you work.
