Ridgid 29873 300 Compact Threading Machine

Finally, the engineers at Ridgid have made a threader with a lightweight and portable design, the Ridgid 29873 300 Compact Threading Machine. The fast set-up and take down afforded to the operator, allows him to greatly enjoy the machines simple transport option. Now, he can go anywhere and accomplish tasks faster with this small threader. It has a 1/2 horse power motor that runs on 115 Volts, with a motor control that serves as a heavy duty rotary with for/off/rev and an integral foot switch. It uses 1/4″ – 2″ bolts, with a pipe capacity of 1/8″ – 2″, and a spindle speed that runs at 38 RPM’s.

Heavy Duty Performance

 Although compact, the Ridgid 29873  Threading Machine has a proven heavy-duty performance, and is built for tough worksites and tough worksite conditions. In addition, the threader also has a self-contained oil system with a through-the-head design and an included integral oil reservoir. The machine is easier to take care of and maintain, even through heavy duty tasks. The included gerotor pump provides constant flow with the addition of the self priming oil. Furthermore, the threader comes with a model 360 cutter, which is a cutter with a roll type cutoff, that is also self centering and a full floating cutter. The included reamer is a model 344 and has a 1/8″ – 2″ capacity, along with a five flute cone that is right handed only. The chuck design, which is a hammer type, has replaceable rocker action style jaw inserts, and is quiet while the threader is in use. The Ridgid 29873 has a modern and superior versatile design for threading and grooving, and is also approved by CSA and UL standards.
